"Tribe Of One" is a brand new acoustic album written by Anté (Bass), frontman of UK hardcore alternative rock act "Djevara". While the full band is usually known for it's high-energy, hardcore-punk-and-metal influenced progressive riffery, this year Anté decided to go back to his roots in spoken word and simplify down, challenging himself to try to write a record on acoustic guitar which could deliver the same power and to challenge the listener just as much as with all the noise.

The result, released under the banner of "Djevara (Redux)" (a spin-off project, related but quite distinct from the original band), is a thoroughly personal record, which in turns confronts and comforts, demands and questions, cries and wonders, shouts and whispers... across a wide tapestry of topics ranging from police brutality to suicide to loneliness to even questioning whatever it means to be an 'artist' today.

"Here one feels the artist really stands metaphorically naked, with 'no band to hide in front of' - only a direct audio line to the soul. On this record, which one can clearly hear is recorded mostly live, Anté delivers the words and music with trademark intensity and passion - it is at once raw, visceral and brutally honest. It's not always pretty, but it is often beautiful." - New Noise

Djevara (Redux) will be on tour across Europe in support of the release this November/December, playing a variety of intimate venues. As usual, the whole effort is completely D.I.Y. from start to finish; Anté and designer Yatsch also lovingly created all of the artwork. Audiences can expect music and words played and sung with utter conviction, delivering heart-felt artful ballads with a fiery punk beating heart.

Track Name: Kiss The Sun
KISS THE SUN

If I shared a dream
Would you stay awake?
'Cos as strange as it seems
I don't think it's too late

See, there's an ocean in my mind
All the creatures of the seven seas
They swim from me to you
Transfering the memories

They can tell no lies
The reasons are deep and dark and blue
It's hard to explain in prose
Hope I do better in song

Do you think if we talk they'll set us free?
OH COME ON, COME ON, COME ON.
Shall we sit around... wait and see?
OH COME ON, COME ON, COME ON.
If we just stay quiet will they leave us be?
OH COME ON, COME ON, COME ON.

No

They made you an offer they say you can't refuse
Mapped out and decided, to play a game you can only lose
You're pushed and you're pulled but no
You can still choose to choose
(JUST PUTTING IT OUT THERE)
I have a manifesto, I'm not afraid to say it:
"Dance naked in the sun
Fall in love with anyone, with everyone"

'Cos I've only just begun
To kiss the sun

Sometimes it's better to burn
Sometimes it's better, it's better, it's better to...
Sometimes it's better, it's better, it's better to...
Sometimes it's better, it's better, it's better to...
Sometimes it's better to burn

If I shared a dream
Would you stay awake?
'Cos as strange as it seems
I don't think it's too late

We can light our own fuse
Let me tell you something heart, felt and true
Always thought I was an alien
But now it's OK 'cos so are you

So come on, come on,
Get on my wave
So come on, come on,
Get on my wave
So come on, come on,
Get on my wave

Get on my wave
Track Name: Stranger With A Familiar Face
STRANGER WITH A FAMILIAR FACE / ABOUT A BOY

Well, when I was a boy, around seven years old
Here's a story I thought'd never be told
My greatest fear was that my heart would grow cold
I'd be driven away down a lonely road

I'd toss and I'd turn
Thought I'd never return
Wake up screaming and yearning and hoping and praying
All this for a love that could never burn

So come on, stranger, lean in a little closer
So come on, stranger, let me hold ya
So come on, stranger, because life is short and your love is blind
And what's life without a little danger?

So please look at me, I'm a refugee
The walking shadow that your eyes never (wanna) see
Worth a dime or tick of your time
Or a blade of grass in a world that's not mine

From time-to-time
I need a little hand
My feet are sore and I don't know where to stand
And I still don't feel like I belong in this land

I've come a long way, baby
I've come a long way, baby
I've come a long way, baby
I've come a long way, baby

Lean in a little...

I've come a long way

So come on, stranger, lean in a little closer
So come on, stranger, let me hold ya
So come on, stranger, 'cos life is short and your love is blind
And what's life without a little danger?

A little danger
A little danger
A little danger
Makes you

I've come a long way
I've come a long way
